The École Biblique of Jerusalem has a long experience in transmitting Scripture to the public, as witnessed in the 20th century by the Jerusalem Bible … Since 2010, with its research program The Bible in its Traditions, the École develops a new type of Bible Annotated dialogue between the historical study of the Scriptures and the richness of their interpretations over the centuries. The École thus pursues its Catholic mission, in the most inclusive sense of the idea: to connect Scripture and living Tradition, in the reception of the truth whatever the way.

Our international collaborative platform on the internet gathers dozens of researchers in laboratories, open biblical book by biblical book. Once approved by the École Biblique, each one intervenes according to his competence. The Biblists establish and annotate the texts themselves in their contexts, joined by specialists in the disciplines related to the twenty-nine rubrics of annotation: Jewish studies, patrology, ancient Orient, archeology, liturgy, theology, classical and modern letters, ‘art…
