On Wednesday, July 3, 2025, at 5:00 PM, Fr. Olivier Catel, OP, will participate in a conference at the Chabad Center of Oxford.
Invited by Rabbi Eli Brackman, his presentation will revolve around the theme:
“The Rabbis Performing Miracles: From Exceptional Characters to Sages: A Rabbinisation or Hasidisation Process? (y. Ta’an. 3:4)”
Fr. Olivier, a lecturer in rabbinic literature at the École Biblique et Archéologique Française, first came to Oxford during his doctoral research on the Talmud and the subject of fasting.
It was also during that year that he conceived the idea for his book “Jérusalem Un cœur de paix”, which includes a foreword by Cardinal Timothy Radcliffe, OP.
