This Christmas, support the ÉBAF’s mission in the Holy Land with your gift

Christmas is a time to look back on all that has been accomplished over the past year and to take good resolutions to carry our efforts forward. The ÉBAF is no exception. On this 135th anniversary of its founding by Fr. Marie-Joseph Lagrange, O.P., we continue the mission entrusted to us at the crossroads of faith and reason, bringing together scientific disciplines to advance high-level research that serves all.

For this mission to continue, we need your help.

Your generosity makes it possible to:

• expand and enrich our renowned specialised library and its exceptional catalogue — a true treasure for biblical, archaeological, and Near Eastern historical studies;
• maintain the Basilica of Saint Stephen and the historic buildings of the oldest academic institution in the Holy Land;
• finance scholarships to train researchers and teachers from all five continents;
• support biblical and archaeological research in the Holy Land as well as scientific publications;
• sustain the community of around twenty Dominican friars who study and pray at the gates of Jerusalem.

Why give now?

Christmas is a season of generosity and sharing. Your gift is an act of solidarity and support for scientific research and for Christian life in the Holy Land.

By giving before the end of the year, you enable the School to prepare its projects for 2026 — lectures, excavations, scholarships, maintenance of the site — and to begin the new year with confidence. In addition, donations made before year-end may be eligible for tax deductions.

Every contribution, whether modest or more substantial, has a real impact on the vitality of our mission.
