A BELGIAN BRANCH OF THE FRIENDS OF THE SCHOOL

The network of support for the activities of the School has just been enriched by the constitution in Belgium of a group of friends wishing to support our activities.

The initiative was taken by Professor Christian Cannuyer, professor at the Catholic theology faculty of Lille and director of the Newsletter Solidarité-Orient, an organ of the Belgian Catholic Association of the same name, which aims to provide all forms of aid to the Christian communities of the Near and Middle East.

To animate this network of friends, Christian Cannuyer, who is a historian specialising in Egyptian Christianity and the Coptic world, gave an online conference on Monday 3 May 2021 on : “How is the problem of the historicity of Moses and the Exodus posed today? Crossroads of Egyptology and Bible study”.

The School is delighted to see its circle of supporters widen.
