PRESENTATION OF THE BEST THESIS AWARD TO THÉRÈSE DAN WANG

On Wednesday, September 7, Thérèse Dan Wang, a student at the EBAF in 2021-2022, received the Jean et Maurice de Pange prize for the best theology thesis of the year 2021, awarded at the Institut catholique de Paris. This prize has already honoured other persons linked to the École Biblique: Jacques Briend in 1978, Émile Puech in 1992, Olivier Artus in 1996.

The latter, currently rector of the Catholic University of Lyon, was present at the award ceremony. In addition to his friendship for Thérèse, he was her thesis director. Several members of the School, who were in Paris, were present and happy to congratulate Thérèse: Fr. Jean Jacques Pérennès, Director; Fr. Bernard Ntamak, librarian; Isabelle Dauphin, from the library team; professors or students linked to the EBAF (Béatrice Oiry, Sr. Sophie Ramond, Fr. Norbert Jorion). Father Lucien Legrand, MEP, a student at the EBAF in 1952, and several young students from the Missions étrangères de Paris, were also present. Good luck to Thérèse for the mission that awaits her. Note that the thesis is published by Peeters in the Études bibliques collection of the EBAF (Nouvelle série, n° 93).
